Our vision
Safarious is the sum of its parts and a whole lot more.
Collectively we have been guiding safaris across Africa for more than 80 years, and being perpetually curious by nature, we never stop exploring. Our understanding of where we go – and why – is deep, nuanced and always current.
Safarious is a non-profit hub through which we can each run our own safari business more effectively by sharing resources and combining our intellectual and conservation capital. It’s about scale and scope. Through Safarious we can leverage our extensive networks across the countries in which we operate to improve efficiency in designing, booking and implementing safaris, allowing us to give our guests the most exceptional service and support. It’s the platform on which we can collaborate as a team while retaining our individuality.
Africa is our passion. We are deeply committed to ensuring that our trips benefit not only ourselves and our guests, but also the places we visit, and the communities and wildlife who live there. Through Safarious, we donate at least 2% of our turnover to carefully chosen conservation and community development projects in Africa.
People need wild places. Whether or not we think we do, we do. We need to be able to taste grace and know again that we desire it. We need to experience a landscape that is timeless, whose agenda moves at the pace of speciation and glaciers. To be surrounded by a singing, mating, howling commotion of other species, all of which love their lives as much as we do ours, and none of which could possibly care less about us in our place.
